My Okra
My okra plants are really kickin' in. I've been slicing, rolling in cornmeal and freezing what I can't use right now. There have not been enough ready at the same time to make a good batch of pickled okra......maybe in a couple of weeks or so I will have enough. :)
Hi Mrs JP! This is the same batch of okra, it slowed down when the weather got so hot, but the plants are starting to pick up speed again. :) Hope your garden is doing well!
Okra is one of my favorite veggies but oddly enough, we've never grown it fresh here. My favorite is fried. The picture of the flowering plant made me wonder if you could fry one like a zucchini blossom.
Hey Chris, hope you had a nice weekend. :) Fried okra is one of my favorites too. Not sure if the blossoms could be used but I might check them out a little closer. :)
Born and raised in the country, I Love wide open spaces.
Enjoy camping, fishing, hunting, and any form of outdoor cooking, hot, warm and cold smoking. Preserving what I hunt, catch, raise or forage. I enjoy being able to provide food for my table.
I'm thankful for each day and will never take anything for granted.

I'm sorry Cowgirl but you lost me on that picked ockra stuff. Maybe if you deep fried it or smoked the heck out of it.
I'm sticking with meat and taters but you go right ahead and enjoy all the rabbit food you can eat.
Yum Yum
