The Char Broil Quantum Infrared Grill

The kind folks at Char Broil have invited me to participate at their Char Broil Live site as a guest blogger. I'm pretty excited about the new adventure. :)

I enjoy cooking with any form of outdoor heat source but have not cooked on an infrared grill so this is something new to me.

I did not assemble the grill... some of you are aware that I hurt my arm not long ago and it's still not 100%. I recruited help, then stood back and snapped a few pics. :)

It's a beautiful grill! I was able to try it out last weekend and hope to post pics of the cook soon.

Thank you to the kind folks at Char Broil for the invitation to participate in your site! I am looking forward to working with all of you. :)

Cowgirl, Congratulations! I know you will come up with something fantastic for this Char Broil.
Been reading all your posts and all I can say is you move around pretty good for someone with a bum arm.
Keep up that spirit!!!
Try to take it easy. We only have one Cowgirl my friend.

Now that looks a little nicer than your weedburner grill! Anxious to see your cook on it. Do you get to keep it? I smoked beans for chili yesterday per Heybud! I am trying your boiled tater balls in chili tonight. Don

One reason my arm won't heal.. I can't sit still long enough to let it. lol
Loved your last cookout. You definately know how to put on a great feast!
Thanks friend. :)

lol Thanks Don! This grill is so pretty, it's going to be hard for me to get it dirty. :)
So glad to hear you tried Heybud's smoked beans! I love them...just have not made them for awhile.
Hope the tatoes turn out well for you, your chili sounds great!
Thanks for stopping by Don. :)

I can't wait to see what you decided to test it with! :) How'd it do? Can you get the smoke flavor you're looking for in a cookout? I'm so jelous... Serious "grill envy" going on right now. lol

Thanks Becky! How have you been? It's good to see ya. :)

lol Dave, I would let you grill on it if you lived closer! :)
It does put out smoke very well... you just lay the wood chips directly on the hot grate area.
I've been dove hunting this week so my first attempt on it was dove breasts with a smokey wild rice blend.
I used indirect heat and it worked out great!
I am going to love this thing :)

Hope you are having a nice day Dave, thanks!! :)

Jeanie, I can think of NO one I'd rather grill with and compare notes. :) But if I did live closer, you'd probably get tired of me showing up at your door with some different kind of meat every other day! lol I'm having a wonderfull day. It's a beautifull afternoon here and I'm off work in about an hour. So I'm a happy guy!

This grill looks fantastic. Sorry to hear your arm isn't able to heal due to doing to much. :) It's hard to be quiet when you have a grill that needs TLC.:) I'll be interested to hear your thoughts about this grill.

Thank you April! I've only used the grill twice but I am happy with the results so far. I'm not familiar with infrared cooking, this is new to me.
Thank you for stopping by! :)
