Bacon Wrapped Corn, Smoked Crab Legs, Shrimp, Crawdads, Sausage and Beer...

This was Super Bowl snacking food.....

I seasoned the pot with kosher salt, lemons, garlic, onions, crab boil, old bay seasoning, smoked sausage and some arbol peppers from smoking friend Ashmont.

I put my new potatoes in first to give them a head start....

Then into my drum smoker...

I seasoned some corn with olive oil, kosher salt and cracked black pepper. Then wrapped in bacon...

Added the bacon wrapped corn and a block of spam to the smoker...

when the potatoes felt tender, I added the shrimp, then the crawdads....

I placed the king crab legs on top of the pot....

After an hour of smoke, I brushed the top if the spam with some Red Pepper sauce... (another gift from the Ashmonts) It was really tasty. sweet and hot. I had to get a quick picture of the spam before it was all gone.

The smoked king crab legs, bacon wrapped corn, shrimp, crawdads, tatoes and sausage...

Served with coctail sauce, garlic butter and cold beer.......

I liked it. :) A lot! lol

hey jeannie..that looks soooo good. Just dropping by to say hello. Hope your doing great. Im gettin ready for the "big snowstorm" that they say will hit us here tomorrow(by getting ready i mean full tank of gas and a case of beer). They always seem to be wrong..but hopefully we get pounded, snow day!!!! Plus we could always use some fresh powder for snowboarding here in the northeast. It always tends to be icy conditions on the slopes upstate and in PA. Do you have a snowmobile? Thatd be sweet rippin around on all that wide open land..anyway. Be well..talk to ya soon girl !! :)

Hey Mike, Hope you make it through the storm in one piece. :)
Sounds like you are prepared!
No snow mobile here but it's kind of fun riding a sled being pulled by a horse at a dead run. lol

Let me know if you want my snow ice cream recipe. :)
Hope you get a snow day.
Thanks and keep warm!

How in the heck do you keep your friends from tearing into the meal while you take pictures of it all.

Looking good as always.

Love the crab! My neighbor is one of the "main" / most popular guys on the Deadliest Catch, so he treats me pretty good with the crab. :) Looks so good...

Hanneke, thanks for stopping by! I've not seen you on the forum lately. I guess I've not been on the forum much either though. :)

Ash.. Thank you and a big thank you for the peppers and sweet hot pepper sauce! You and Mrs Ash are so kind!
I used 2 peppers, it was just right.
They added just enough of a kick without being too hot for me. I like to be able to taste the food and not burn my mouth. lol
I'm looking forward to trying them in other dishes. I usually use cayennes, so these will work out great. I'll just use less since they are hotter.

Thank you again and thanks for stopping by. :)

Hi Big Mike!
Are you the same Big Mike that build a UDS?
Nice to see ya! :)

The crab legs come cooked and frozen from the grocery store so I just thaw them and then place them in the smoker.
They don't need to cook long, just heat them through.
They pick up a nice mild smoke flavor, I love them fixed this way! :)

I remove the smaller legs as they warm up just so they don't overcook and get rubbery.

Hope you give them a try!
Thanks Big Mike. :)
