Campfire Beer Bread

I made a batch of beer bread while camping...

3 cups of self rising flour
1 beer
1/4 cup of sugar and a little bit of salt

I could not find my DO lid (again) so I made do with what I had on hand.

covered the pot with foil...placed it in the fire pit with hot coals surrounding the pot..

Placed another pan of hot coals on top.

I let this bake for about 30 minutes....

Tasted great with my hoppin john....

Thank you so much anonymous! Very kind of you! :)
I hope I find the lid for my little dutch oven...lol The pot of coals work, but my lid would work better. :)
Thanks again!

Does it matter what kind of beer is used?
