Morning Traffic

Heavy traffic going down the road in front of my house this morning.....

I usually stand on the porch and hang onto my border collie. He is great about keeping the cattle from turning into my drive, but then he wants to leave with the herd and "help" with the rest of the drive.

Pretty nice view from my porch. :)

Cowgirl, country life is country life anywhere you park your pony. I found your blog today, love all the cooking, have done a bit, but now am going whole hog, pun intended.
Keeping the coals warm, and our hearts warmer!

I found your blog a couple months ago and, girl, have the ideas been stirring! This weekend we are trying our hand at putting a whole hog in the ground. Got a bunch of dove last week to cook on the campfire grill and, of coarse, some cold adult beverages. I'm looking forward to it and so is a bunch of good folks coming to join us. I'll have to let ya know how it goes.

Thanks for the tips! You're a country cooking fool! I love your site and check back regularly. You're living the dream life girl, wide open views, good food, and (I imagine) surrounded by good people. If you ever make it to Arkansas I'll give you a night off and you can try some of my cooking!

Thank you April! I appreciate the kind words and the invite. :)

Remember on the underground pit, make sure it is sealed off good with dirt so no smoke escapes...no air gets in.
Good luck with it! :)
