Smokey White Wine Lemon Sauced Shrimp Over Pasta

Long title. :)

I browned a few bacon bits over hot coals, then added minced green onion and garlic....

added butter and some peeled, deveined shrimp.... closed the lid on the cooker and let them soak up some of the smokey flavor for just a few minutes.

I received a bottle of Zia's White Wine & Lemon Sauce from a talented smoking friend named Ashmont... (thank you Ash!)

I added some of the white wine sauce to the shrimp and let it heat through...

Also received a package of Farfalle from blogging friend Rocco... (thank you again Rocco!)

Between Ashmont's sauce, Rocco's pasta and my shrimp.. it was a tasty combination! :)

Hi cowgirl, I love your blog, so many good ideas. I raise my own hogs, chickens and donkeys (I don't eat the donkeys) in the Ozarks. One thing I'd love to raise is shrimp. How do you do that?

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan!
Thanks for checking out my blog. :)
Sounds like you are living the good life too!
The shrimp are easy to raise if you have good well water that's not treated with chlorine or anything... and no fish in the water. They will eat the juvenile shrimp.

At the top of my blog on the right side...under the smokehouse picture.. is a list of favorite things.
I have more information about raising shrimp down at the bottom of that list. You might want to check it out.

I buy the baby shrimp in the spring and put them in my windmill pond, then harvest them in the fall before the weather gets too cold.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. I'm glad to help if I can.

Nice to meet you Dan,
Thanks again!

Jeanie, Did you find the Zia's sauce in a store in your area, or did it come from the restaraunt in Ohio? That's the only place I can find it on line. But I would LOVE to give this recipie a try! We have a specialty foods market in our area. Maybe I'll try them... (for the crawdads too now that I think of it!) :)

Dave one of my friends in Missouri sent it to me. I've not found it in the stores here.. It's good stuff.
Maybe if I made a request at the local grocery store, they would start carrying it!
Hope you have good luck finding some.
Thanks Dave! :)

Well, if all fails you can do a search on line for Zia's. The restaraunts web site does have a store and you can buy it on line for less than $5.00 a bottle. That's what I'm going to do if I can't find it around here. (I just HAVE to try it now that I've seen it!) lol Have a wonderfull weekend sweetie! TTL
