Surf n Turf on the Campfire

Here's another one of those meals I cooked while camping. :)

I started out by filling split potatoes with bacon, onion, butter and seasonings...

While the potatoes roasted over the fire, I sauteed some green onions, garlic and sliced mushrooms in butter....

Then I started my garlic butter.....

Threw on some ribeyes and asparagus drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with kosher salt and cracked black pepper...

Lastly added my crab legs to the fire.....

The crab legs are already cooked so I just heat them up a bit and let them soak up a some of that smokey flavor....

The bacon and onion stuffed potatoes, grilled ribeye with sauteed mushrooms, smokey crab legs, fire roasted asparagus and garlic butter....

I cut down a styrofoam cup to hold my garlic butter. :)

It was pretty tasty!

Thats not a camp out meal it looks to good ,just think some wood pay good money for that meal but they would not have the good out doors to eat it and it is much better in the out doors .

ps where is the wine lololol

lol Thanks Dave! I didn't have wine with me, just beer. Next time I will remember to take a bottle. lol
I agree with you, everything tastes so much better over a campfire. :)

That looks just HORRIBLE! You should NOT eat that kind of stuff while camping. You should send it to me right now and I'll keep it safe from the bears (and probably the ranger too!)

Awesome job.

Hey Cowgirl that looks to good to be way out there on a campfire. When you go camping do you take a tractor trailer cooler to keep it all cold? Bet it was mighty good off that fire !!!! Poke Chop

That is excellent Jeanie. Everything on there is a favorite to me. Asparagus, my favorite veggy, rib eye my favorite meat, crab legs the best seafood, and everything else also. I'm trying to think where I was when all this was being done, and why I was'nt invited. lol

Dang girl - how many you feeding?

That looks great (as usual).

Been real busy out here in the west, haven't been smoking much, or blogging or reading blogs/forums.

Hope you have been doing well.
