ok...two are missing, I had to taste them. :)
Then I made some fry bread using
2 cups of flour
1 TBS of baking powder
1 tsp of salt
1 TBS of lard
then added about 1/2 cup of warm water
kneaded and let it rest covered for 30 minutes...
Hand flattened the dough into rounds, leaving the outside edges high...
Fryed til golden on both sides....
Made some refried beans
I sauteed some onion and garlic in lard, added cooked pinto beans and smooshed them while frying.... then seasoned with salt, pepper and cayenne.
I topped the fry bread with some of the beans and smoked beef....
Added cheese.....
lettuce, and fresh pico de gallo......
It was pretty tasty..... :)

Awesome looking meal - I'll have to give the pan bread a try
Thanks Big Dude!
I got about 5 big rounds out of that fry bread recipe. I probably should have made them smaller so I could eat a whole one. lol
Hope it turns out well for you!

OTT
That is an interesting little concoction you have going on there Jeanie. You got me craving something Mexican. I could sure use some of your sunshine there Jeanie, could you use a little rain?
Thank you Cherie, Hope you give the recipe a try!
OTT, it's good to see you, Hope all is well in Chicago land. :)
Margaritas and jalapenos too huh? I bet that would be an interesting combination for me to try next time. lol
No cookin' show.. I'm holding out for a fishing show!
Thanks!
Thank you Mark! :)
I really could use some of your rain... I'll trade some tacos and sunshine for a nice soft drizzle with a rainbow at the end. lol
Hope you are having a great weekend so far.
I imagine you are keeping busy...your place is looking nice!
Gotta give ya credit for only losing two of the ribs to a taste test....beef ribs only last a few minutes off the smoker around here.
You're tacos look VERY tasty!! I'll have to throw side of moo on the smoker and give em a try! :)
Gene
lol Gene, aren't ribs so tasty hot off the smoker! :) I had to test a couple to see if they were edible.
I've seen the beef ribs you smoke, I can see why they disappear so fast!
Thanks Gene. :)
