Not sure what to call these.... Pulled Beef Indian Samosas?

While trying out the extremely tasty
Indian dry rub made by talented smoking friend Jon, I smoked both a pork butt and a beef chuck roast.
Used the pork butt here... Indian Pork with Raita and Roti

and saved the beef chuck for some samosas.

I really like samosas but have never tried filling them with smoked beef. The indian spice infused chuck was perfect for these.

I pulled the beef, minced the onions that were also smoked with the chuck...then added a few green onions. ( just cause I like em :))

I used egg roll skins for these. Divided them into thirds....

rolled the samosas up "flag" style, wet the ends with water to seal...

dipped in egg wash, rolled in bread crumbs and fried until golden..

I dusted the fried samosas with a bit of Jon's dry rub and served them with a garlic chutney...

They were sooooo tasty! Crispy on the outside....and the Indian dry rubbed beef was wonderful.

sigh.... wish I had some of them right now. lol

Thanks again Jon... I owe ya!

Larry thanks! I usually make them with ground beef but the indian rubbed chuck was great. Hope you give them a try sometime...you can use a variety of fillings. :)
