This Year's Buck

He has a bigger rack than the one last year but didn't weigh as much. I'm happy to have meat for the freezer though. :)

nice buck and chili. was hoping to get a buck off of our land this year, but they seem a little scarce compared to last year. I want to leave the 6 and 8 point out there and take the spikes (2) and an old 10 point.

Thank you tjus! I hope you get one this season! :)

Nice buck Jean! I've been skunked SO FAR this year, but bow season runs into the first week of Feb here in Ohio, so there's still plenty of time. I had a nice buck walk RIGHT up behind me early on this year. There was a tree behind me, I couldnt turn to the right or it woulda seen me, so I waited for it to walk to the left side of the tree. It was only about 15 yds from me, but when it was behind the tree, it had turned and walked a different direction, then got behind some brush, no shot for a bow. I had to watch it walk away. Oh well, that's why we call it deer HUNTING and not deer SHOOTING.

Very nice buck!! Love the split G2! I got a nice 10 point and he only was 152lbs. most of our bucks around here usually top out in around the 160 mark on the scales. The bucks have really been running the does hard and heavy this year.
We're gonna fire up my dad's smoker sometime this week and do a little cookin'!:)

Thanks Marty!
That sounds about right! I'm glad to hear you are a "hunter" too and not a "shooter". :) Sounds like you put yourself in a good spot to see them. Hope you get one this season. :)
