Some of my neighbors

I've had visits from a lot of wildlife but haven't had this many turkeys stop by my house at one time before...

I lost count at 40...

Maybe they were walking south for the winter. :)

David McGuire said...: Gee whiz, most I ever saw here on my place was 8 and you had 40+. You could have shot into that flock with one shot and cleaned up. The ones you didn't hit would probably either have a heart attack or fly into one another and break their neck. But when I go for turkey I am old fashioned and use a bow. I really hate picking shot out. And with Christmas just a few days away, what were these birds thinking. One afternoon I was headed out of the house to a client and there were about 20 tame turkeys in my front yard. I got a rain coat out of the truck and proceeded to herd them back to the break in the fence they came out of about 2 blocks away.
