It came soooooo close...

I could smell the rain. :) The huge cloud was headed my way....

Then the cloud split. I could see rain passing to the right of me..

and nice hail clouds passing to the left...

Looks like I need to water my garden after all. :)

I hate it when that happens. After rain all around us (like within a mile in any direction) in the last few weeks, we finally got a bit ourselves here in B.A. Had 1/2 inch Saturday night and another 1/2 inch Monday night. Enough to green up most of the grass. Too late for most gardens. We've been doing the "watch the clouds go by" routine like you experienced. I guess if there's been anything positive about it, it's that even the weeds have been dying...

Rick Thanks! One bright point... at least my neighbors got some moisture.
I just thought of another bright thought, it's going to be in the 90s this week!! I'm pretty happy about that. :)
Hope all is going well for you!

Shoot Creaky, sounds like you're getting the same run around from the clouds as I get. Glad to hear you got a bit of moisture. I know the hot wind dries everything out so quickly. You need every drop you can get too.
I'm struggling to keep my garden plants alive. Not sure if anything will produce this year.

I hadn't thought about the weeds..that and the mosquito population is zero here.. I should look at the bright side of things.
Thanks Creaky! :)

So the neighbors got the rain...Bummer
How are the fences between...:) Maybe they are a bit weak...:)

Things are going OK here.
In the morning I'm starting the replacment of the rotten patio shade with polycarbonite (fancy plastic) panels that will provide shade in the summer and will keep ME dry when it rains.........YEA!

Have a great week...

Rick I'm glad the neighbors got a bit of moisture. They've had to sell off a lot of cattle...I'm sure they could use some good news for a change. :)
That sounds like quite a project you've got lined up for tomorrow. I bet it will be nice!! I'd help if I lived closer. :)
Hope it all goes well for you Rick.
Thanks again. :)

I've heard of this "RAIN" you speak of... My question is could you please tell me what that green colored growth along the ground is?
The brown bits I'm familiar with it's called dead/dormant grass, My pasture is covered by it. The green stuff, not so much....

Sorry it missed your place, I know how that feels. Here's hoping we both get a couple inches soon!
Best wishes to u & yours,
Kevin
