I had a nice day :)

Grabbed an old coffee can and filled it with earthworms...then headed to my favorite little lake.

First catch of the day...
a bunch of weights and a red hook. No problem, I can use those, and it's better than catching my usual stick. :)

Then I caught a few of these little buggers....

got distracted by a storm cloud and my fishing tennies...

I think they will make it through another summer of fishing. There are no holes in them and the tread is still fairly thick. :)

The storm clouds were brewing in front of me and behind me...

When they came together, I decided it was good time to head home...

I stopped on top of the hill by my pasture to watch the clouds.

The clouds to the right of me...

the clouds to the left of me...

The wall cloud was beautiful!

I stayed long enough to watch the sun drop below the cloud. A storm spotter stopped by and suggested I find cover...

I made it home just as the wind, rain and hail hit. I sat in the pickup and watched the storm for awhile before heading into the house. I couldn't get any pictures, everything was pitch black. The lightening was beautiful.
The storm was amazing..... so powerful! I was so happy to see rain... my little garden rain gauge showed 1/2 an inch. It was the perfect ending to a relaxing day. :)

Cowgirl, you deserve this nice break in the action. After looking at your Crown Royal Pork, all I could do was shake my head in amazement. You are just plain talented girl. I don't know how you keep coming up with all the recipes, but I am enjoying the heck out of them.
And its fun wondering what you are going to come up with next. You go girl!!!!

Looks like a great day! That fish sure has a surprised look on it's face! What a difference watching a storm roll in out in the country vs the suburbs.. You are so fortunate!

Funny how the sky below the clouds looks like fire...
Where do you find your worms? Just curious. Are there different places on your property that produce better worms than others?
I'd love to go fishing with you at your lake. :)
I don't suppose you have a dude ranch? Haha!
Happy Monday to you! :)

Congrats on the little rain storm Jeanie, and you're welcome. lol. I'm kinda mad at myself this morning. I got an invite from a friend to go do some fishing in his boat, and like an idiot, I turned him down. I had a late night working, and I've just got too much going on for now. Some day I will start to live again. I envy you Jeanie.

Darlin', PLEASE send some of your rain down here to the Hill Country. It's so hot and dry that the fire hydrants in town are chasing dogs...

Linda the sunset was so beautiful!
It did look like fire. :)
I am able to dig worms in the corner of my garden. What I don't use, I put back.
No dude ranch here.. I've been asked to open a bed and breakfast but I enjoy my free time too much to do that. :)
Thanks! Hope you had a nice weekend too!!

Hope you have a great week too!

lol Mark, Thanks! I hope this drys your area up a bit. :)
Sorry to hear you didn't get to go fishing. I know how work goes though... sometimes you just can't get away.
Hope you go soon...It's funny how just a few hours of sitting by the lake relaxing recharges my batteries. I'm good for at least 2 weeks before I need another break. :)
I envy you Mark, your area is beautiful and your new house is going to be awesome!

Cowgirl, I don't blame you. Hopefully I will just learn through osmosis and reading. ;)
We had a good weekend, thank you.
Have a wonderful week!

Dang Mark, I know it's bad your way too! I'll send any extra to you.
Some days I feel like I could step out the back door and burst into flames from the hot wind and high temps.
