Plans for Roasting Spit?

If anyone knows of a good roasting spit design, could you let me know please?

Someone recently contacted me while searching for plans, I would also like to build one.

I have an E-Z Q rotis that has a battery operated motor and an electric motor. Also have a rotis on my gas grill but would like something larger.

Found this set up on a forum..... wonder if I could find volunteers to operate it. lol

Thanks for any help or info! :)

I love that the basket on the bike is full of things you might need (fruit, water bottle, etc.) That's really not a bad design plus there's the cardio value!

I bet it works great too Mrs JP! Maybe I should try building one of these. :)

This looks cool but the bike would look better looking at the roaster that way you can run after it lololol

That's a great idea Dave!
The roasting meat will give me incentive to pedal faster. :)

Get yourself a couple of hardy hamsters, a hamster exercise wheel, and some scooby snacks propped up in front of the wheel. The hamsters will run for hrs trying to get the treats.lol

Howdy Miss Cowgirl,

Was just reading your blogs and looking at your smokehouse plans and enjoying both greatly Miss. As far as the spit setup instead of using the bike.Think about using a 1/4hp electric motor with a chain sprocket for the chain drive you canregulate the speed by using different size sprockets until you find the right combination Miss.

Howdy Miss Cowgirl,

Your very welcome Miss. Up here in the North country we can come up with some good ideas from time to time Miss lol. And some of us like to come up with new ways to use the old ways of living Miss. I will definetly be checking back from time to time to see what other new things you are working on and hopefully soon I will be able to pass on some photos of my own for you to look at Miss Cowgirl.
