Just some lake pics ..

I was able to get away for a few days this weekend and camped at a little lake.
It's a small lake with camp sites. I'm not used to so much activity while camping but sometimes the fishing at this lake is good.
One thing I didn't count on was a fire ban.... so no campfire this time. I made the most of it anyway. :)

I caught this monster frankenfish on day one. :)

My sleeping bag and favorite chair, where I spent most of my time...

I lost count of how many fish I caught but brought home 6 keepers...

Mr and Mrs Quacky and some little quackers :)... (actually they were geese)

The evenings were nice...

Last weekend I absolutely froze while camping so this time I wore my extra thick sox to keep my toes warm. :)

Even without the campfire, I enjoyed the nights... the stars were so pretty. :)

Looks like a nice little get away, but I can't imagine you not being able to whip up some of your delectables over the campfire - bummer.

So, how do you cook Frankenfish?

Thank you Marc! It was a nice weekend. You are able to camp in most areas. They have hook ups for RVs too. (electricity and water).
I didn't get to grill the fish but might do that here at home.
I think you would like it out there, it's pretty nice and relaxing. :)
Thanks!

Thanks Larry! It was really hard not being able to have a fire or cook...
I ate a lot of sandwiches. :)

I notice you did'nt give the name of that lake away Jeanie. It must be a good spot that you want to keep all to yourself. Nice fishin.

:) Mark it is a nice little lake. the campground has more traffic than I see at my place in 6 months but there are quiet spots on the lake to get away from the noise.
Thanks! :)

Jeanie,

I love fried walleye. Good stuff. The brats look great as well. I usually boil in beer first, but I like the bacon twist. Everything is better in bacon, right?

Thanks for the pics...

Bill

Mark, not sure what happened to your comment but here is a copy if it! :)

I do like that little lake when I can get off to a quiet area. The campground is a bit noisy for me. :)
If I published the location it might get even more crowded. lol You are always welcome though.
Thanks! :)

Thanks Bill!! I simmered these in beer before wrapping in bacon. Your right.. bacon is the best for any meal! :)
