I know a lot of people have been buried in snow for the last few weeks. The snow hit here fairly hard yesterday.
I'm going to make the most of it and make a big batch of snow ice cream!
This is the recipe I use every winter.
Combine 3/4 cup of sugar with one egg...
Add 1 cup of milk, a pinch of salt and a bit of vanilla....
Then mixed in as much fresh white snow as you can, until the mixture is as thick as ice cream..
Top with a bit of whipped cream and a cherry. It's pretty tasty! :)
Hope everyone stays warm!

Looks like good use of the snow - how much did you get this time?
Thanks Larry! I haven't checked the official reports.... some areas of bare ground are showing and some areas have 3ft or bigger drifts, it's hard to say how much came down since the wind whipped it around.
The pastures needed the moisture, the animals made it through and I was able to get where I needed to go this morning, so I'm happy. :)
Hope you are keeping warm!
Awesome! Thanks for this recipe! :)
Looks DELICIOUS!!
Thanks Linda! It's pretty tasty stuff. :)
Thanks Rabid! Park your snow plow and dig in... I'm sure the little Rabidletts would love it too! :)
Hope you're feeling better soon.
Just don't eat the yellow stuff!!!!

snow ice cream may be my favorite "ice cream!" i didn't get to make any from the big snow here, wind mixed too much sand with the drifts. i was searching for good snow though, glad you got to enjoy the treat.

Pid, glad to hear you like this stuff too! :)
Too bad about the sand, I bet you'll get hit with a fresh batch of snow before winter is over.
Hope you are keeping warm! Thanks :)

So there is an actual good use for snow besides snowcones. I love ice cream but I don't know how you can eat it when its so cold out. I saw the news reports and looks like a record was set. Looks great as always.
lol Michael, it's tasty stuff... but I do have to wrap up in a blanket to eat it!
It's been a cold winter here...hope you are keeping warm!
Thanks Michael!
