I'm not sure if you can make out the doe in these pictures....
While enjoying a cup of coffee on my front porch the other morning, a whitetail doe came out of the sandhill plum thicket in front of the house.
She headed in my direction....

Real nice pics Cowchick! One small hot lead injection and she could be breakfast, lunch and dinner for us!!
lol!! I was thinking jerky.
That's one heck of a nice view Cowgirl!!
Thanks Gene!
I like checkin' out the wildlife.....and there are no neighbors close by. :)
cool shots, i forgot deer are not livestock. they have big venison farms here. but no whitetail. keep enjoying the coffee
Hey Nick, Thanks!
I hadn't thought about them being farm raised in your area, wonder if they taste the same?
I'm still enjoying your blog, looks like you live in paradise. :)
Those are great pictures. We had a buck in our front yard last night laying down!! So I snuck out the back door and around the side and he was up and outta there in a flash. So, my pictures are of a brown blur! But he was beautiful and the rack on him was huge. After discussion we decided that it was a good thing for him to run. He doesn't need to be getting comfortable that close to people. That kind of made me feel better about missing the still pic.
Lovely and peaceful view you have.
That makes hunting so much more easier when they come right to ya!!
Some excellent views Jeanie.
OTT
Mrs JP, I bet he was beautiful!!
Wonder if they have found your veggie garden yet?
Hey OTT, thanks. :)
I'm afraid to say, deer have been harvested from my porch in the past. They were put to good use though.
Dough? Ohhhhh DOE! :)
They look cute, especially the one hiding on the right in the last pic.
Doe Chris...Doe. :)
They seem to be hanging around here a lot lately.
Thats a nice veiw of the deer and all the green bush around them Jeanie. I had one laying along the bush line at my place the other day when I drove in also. It did'nt seem to care much either as I drove by it.
That sounds nice Mark! From the pictures I've seen of your land, it sure is beautiful.
It won't be long before you are sitting on your front porch watching those deer. :)
