Two Things I Enjoy........

Watching a beautiful sunset and fishing. :)

I dropped what I was doing and headed to a little lake Friday night to meet up with some fishing friends.

Picked a spot to sit on an old wooden bridge and watched the show. :)

The sun sank behind a cloud on the horizon and began peeking out from below.....

Then the sky had a beautiful pink glow.....

The sunset looked like a raging brush fire on the horizon..... and the fishing wasn't half bad. :)

I had a great time, am ashamed to say I screamed like a girl at one point when a killer earth worm attacked me ( or so I thought). I'm never going to hear the end of it. My friends didn't know I could be such a wuss. lol

To bad ya didn't save one of your snowballs to fight off your attacker! Beatiful pics!! Well worth fighting off an earthworm. :)

lol Gene.... I probably shouldn't have even posted about that worm. Even I've never heard a scream like that come from my lips before. lol

Yeah, I coulda used a snowball about then. Either on the worm or on my friends who were rolling on the ground laughing. :) lol

After seeing that black widow and a few snakes i was jumping around like a ninny myself! Glad no one saw me jump 3 feet in the air when some dry leaves sounded like a rattlesnake! Glad you got to relax & fish, that sunset will be hard to beat.

lol Will, Thanks!
That makes me feel better. :)
Glad to hear I'm not the only jumpy one, even though you were dealing with spiders and snakes and all I was confronted with was a worm. lol
The sunset was amazing... I really did enjoy the evening. Can't wait to go again. :)

Thanks again Will!

lol. Earthworms are your friend Jeanie. lol. You should maybe concentrate more on the spiders and snakes etc if you want to do some gurl like screaming, and maybe I'll join you. But who knows, maybe he surprised you(the earthworm). lol.

lol Mark, I like the worms in my garden. (not the tomato horn worms) lol

He did surprise me, and I might have heard a growl. haha...

Tarantula season is getting near, I'll see if I can catch a few to mail to you and maybe one to Will too... we can all scream like girls. lol

Nice sunset. But what about the screaming? When we go if somebody does something like that we throw them in the water. Its all in fun. We figure the noise had already scared off the fishing, so got to find more fun.

I think you have one of the better blogs around. So glad you posted it on our favorite smoking meat place.

Hey David, How are ya? :)

I'm glad they didn't throw me into the lake. I found out over the 4th of July that I can out run most of them. lol

Thank you for the kind words about my blog, I appreciate it David. I'm not sure where I would have posted a link to it...but I know it's in my profile on the cooking forum.

Hope all is well in Kansas.
Good to see ya. :)
