This was my Easter dinner. I didn't plan on doing much but friends stopped by so this is what I came up with.
I poked holes in the potatoes, rolled them in olive oil and sprinkled them with cracked black pepper and kosher salt.
They went into the drum cooker first...
After about 15 minutes I added some ribeyes. These were also rubbed with olive oil, kosher salt and cracked black pepper...

Hi there. I just found your blog the other day and I must say, I love your posts. I will be a frequent visitor!
Quick question on the crab legs, how long on the drum and at what temp?
Looking good!
Thank you Anonymous! Funny you should mention crab legs.. I am getting ready to smoke some today. :)
I have smoked them from 225 to 300 degrees F. Depending on what else I'm smoking.
They are already cooked so I mainly let them heat through. I pull them off as soon as they are hot.
Usually takes about 30 minutes.
The bit of smoke they pick up is so tasty!
Hope you have good luck with yours!
Thanks again for stopping by. :)
Cowgirl, thanks for the crab tip. I even created a Google account to follow this blog. I am an aspiring chef, so I might have to create a blog here to bounce ideas off of everyone...
Panthers that's great! Let me know when you get your blog up and running, I'd love to see it. :)
Hope the crab legs turn out well for ya.
Thanks!
