A short walk

Sometimes, when I have some "thinkin" to do... a short walk is in order.
I head to my favorite cottonwood tree....

I love the tree this time of the year... the leaves make good whistles and the seeds make good ammo.

The hackberry tree is still doing it's thing...

pouring around this old farm implement that was parked here ages ago...

My second favorite cottonwood tree... great for climbing, I think I need to put a rope swing on one limb.
The short walk was nice and took my mind off things for awhile.

A good friend is going through some rough times right now, any extra kind thoughts and prayers sent that way would be appreciated.

Marc thank you!! I seem to be able to "think" while out there.. I guess because it's so peaceful.

There's a couple limbs there that look good for a rope swing. :)

You know I am always praying, so it is no problem throwing in one for you and your friend.

Oh and BTW it works.

Great minds think alike I guess. I went for a little walk today too. Thought I would check out the creek and see if there is any sign of the mountain pine beatle in my pine trees yet. I hope things get better for your friend real soon Jeanie.

Those trees are beautiful. A good walk is like going fishing in that it puts things in perspective. God keep and bless you and your friend.

That tree is interesting. Just goes to show that you can't stay in one place too long....or a tree will grow around you, ha ha.

Linda that's what I was thinking too. Thanks

I used to saddle-up and go for a ride with the dog(s) when I needed to "air out" my brain. Wishing you and your friend well from our corner of the world.
