when you lose one of your best friends...
you remember the walks together, the secrets you shared, the warm hugs and wet kisses and the unconditional love from her big brown eyes...
I'm going to miss her.

You appreciate the memories.
Hugs, Jeannie. I know it's hard.
Jeanie, sorry to hear of your loss.
The unconditional love that they show while they are with us is incredible.
Again, sorry to hear of your loss!
as I like most dogs more than most people I know, my heart goes out to you. Their not pets but part of the family. Take care.
Chris
That's sad, it's very painful for me to lose a pet.
I'm real sad to hear the news about your little buddy Jeanie. It's never easy. Time will heal, but the memories will be there forever. I really hope all is ok Jeanie.
My thoughts are with you. I lost mu buddy of 16 yrs in 2006...it's tough.
Hugs.... So sorry for your loss.
Very sorry for your loss! It gets better with time, but for true animal lovers, it never heals, we just learn to accept it better.........Rick
well what i would do is have your "friend from chicago" come out and help you around the farm for a few days to help ease the pain of your loss and keep you company and then go to the pound and look for a new best friend!
all dogs go to heaven.
Damn. Made me think of Woodie again. Sorry for your loss.
I understand the depth of your loss.
Always remember those walks together. Still keep those secrets. Feel the exuberance of her warm wet kisses. Keep all of these as part of you, then you will also see, and feel the unconditional love from her big brown eyes.
Remember you have friends that can bring joy and laughter, loyalty and pathos, sincerity and warmth into your life, even if they have green, hazel or blue eyes. Please count me among them ... me and my cold wet nose.
So very sorry for your loss, I know how you feel.
I'm really not sure how I could be so lucky as to have friends like all of you...Thank you so much for your kind words, hugs and understanding. You amaze me...
I just said my goodbyes to her and she is resting her tired body.
She was with me for 15 years...
That's a lot of walks, a lot of secrets and a lot of kisses.
As she aged her eyesight wasn't as sharp as it used to be.. but her nose could smell a coyote a mile away.
I will miss the kisses she gave to me every morning as I stepped out the back door onto the porch... her favorite sleeping spot.
I am consoled in the fact that she had a very happy life and was loved to the fullest extent possible.
Thank you again for your soothing comments.. I'm very lucky to have you for friends.
Jeanie

My Friend Faithful and True
It was but yesterday my companion she became
Each day expressing the joys of contentment
With a wag of her tail or her bark of excitement
Exploring and finding many things a new
Constantly reminding me, my friend faithful and true
As the years passed the bond stronger became
Always beside me just an outstretched hand away
Enjoying life in a mutual bond seeking to play
We were there for each other to comfort through
Constantly reminding me, my friend faithful and true
Times gradually more difficult for her became
No longer romping and playing as in the fore
The troubles each day more difficult than before
Nevertheless, my trusting companion I knew
Constantly reminding me, my friend faithful and true
Then the day parting of the ways to soon became
Not easy letting go of my always trusty companion
The many fond memories, however, never to abandon
But, reflecting over the years that seem to all flew
Constantly reminding me, my friend faithful and true
Jeanie
I'm so sorry for your loss. As you know I lost 1 of mine about 2 months ago, I miss her too. I share your pain and sense of loss but time will help.
GREAT BIG (((((((HUG)))))))
Rick
Ron, your talent is amazing! Thank you so much for the poem... it's beautiful...
Thank you Rick... (((HUGs))) to you too...
I know how it feels - we lost our family dog of 14 years a year ago. They become part of the family.
It just takes time. After a few months, we did get another dog, but even after all this time, I still accidentally call the new dog by the old dog's name...
My condolences.
Steve, Thank you. I am sorry to hear of your loss too.
It was a bit rough today but I'm trying to keep my mind on other things...
I guess it will take time.
You are so right, they become part of your family.
Thanks Steve....
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss :(
Thank you Sara... I appreciate your thoughtfulness..
Hi Cowgirl,
I'm so sorry just so, so sorry.
Thank you Mrs JP... I know you and JP can relate to her being part of my family. They are so much a part of our lives...
Sorry for your loss Cowgirl. They are a part of our lives and it's very hard to say goodbye.
Thank you YD... I know you probably feel the same as I do about them being family members.. it's hard to let them go..
My dad had a little house dog and a small parrot that could call the dog by name. The little dog passed away about two years ago, but the parrot still calls him. "Heeeere, Sally..." The bird doesn't know any better, but it is a constant reminder of losing Sally.
Dogs love us unconditionally. They are glad to see us no matter what. Take care of yourself and when it feels right, go rescue one from a shelter. They need our help.
My oldest dog, Jack, has began to have seizures. I don't know much time we have left together, but I am going to make the most of it.
Thanks for that 431cruiser.. I imagine your family misses Sally terribly.
Sorry to hear about Jack.. making the most of his last days is the best thing to do..
Thanks 431...
Im soooo sorry!
DINGLE
Thank you Brian... (((HUGS)))
Cowgirl,
Maybe she will meet Dylan on the rainbow bridge, 14 yrs. old when we lost him recently - Golden Retriever / Lab that was the gentlest most wonderful dog we have ever had (we have 5 - 4 of which are rescues) - 2 days after he left us we welcomed "Kevin" into our house ( A Deer Chihuahua - look it up they are nothing like a regular Chihuahua) - he has been a absolute delight and my wife and I both agree that Dylan had something to do with him "finding" us.
I hope another special friend finds you also.
Gary
Gary, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss too! I'm glad Kevin found his way into your lives...
