hey there!! been so busy that i havent thought to check on ya. I was with some friends and family last night and we were talkin about making chili this weekend. so , of course, you came across my mind. only 1 problem tho..i dont see a chili recipe?!? hmmm..is that not an okie thing? anyhow, thats not very important..not as important as wishing you a HEALTHY AND HAPPY 2010!!!! happy new year girl! and from the bottom of my heart: Thank you for all the inspiration. For me, its not all about your talents that keeps me coming to yer blog, but more of a place that i can go to dream, a little window into a life that is wonderully righteous, good to the bone and loving.i would bet my life that you are as good as they get (and i know what your going to say, something like" theres always room to grow and im still learning") Ms. Humble..You are awesome!I wish there were some way that i could show my gratitude to you.Best i can come up with is this: Thank you for everything and most of all for being proof that life is good if you CHOOSE to make it. keep it up in 2010..((BIG hug))Thanks Jeannie!:)

Happy New Year to ya too. My wife and I went to the store yesterday afternoon for snacks for the evening. Got home and she realized she forgot the Ro-Tel sauce, whats dip without it? So I went back out. Only this time no happy drive. Had three deer run across the road. Could have been good eating. Then there was the two rottweillers chasing them. I like rotts, so I turned my wheel. Big mistake. For about a hundred yards I was everywhere. Almost had it back together, then I guess I caught some ice. When my front tires went off I cranked the wheels and punched it. I knew I was going to be stuck, but I didn't want to go through the cattle fence and lose 2 tires, a radiator oil pan and who knows what else. Let alone have to replace fence. So there I was, in a drift 4 feet deep, in a ditch at an incline. 4X4 even in low range is no good. Called my neighbor for the tractor. While I waited for him to make the 3 mile drive I started digging and collecting downed trees for traction. All I had to dig with was a small garden shovel that was for some reason in the truck. But when he got there I had 3 tires dug out. We got it out without chaining my tires. Only damage to my truck was a ripped off right side exhaust. The Ro-tel made it home finally. Daylight when I started the journey, dark when I got home. Bye-bye 2009.

Dang it David, I'm so glad you weren't hurt! Also glad the neighbor was close enough to help pull you out.
Tis the season to keep a tow chain and shovel in the back end of my pickup. :)

Hope 2010 treats you well!

Happy New Year to you too! I was hoping to see that "once in a blue moon" deal last night but someone (cough cough) fell asleep at 10:30pm on New Years Eve. Crap, I'm old.

Sorry you missed the moon, I know my photo doesn't do it justice.
