Beautiful Day :)

lol I couldn't get this old U2 song out of my head all day......

It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away :)

The frost or snow was fluffy like a feather...

My snow angels weren't as pretty as some I've seen .. but I had fun making them.

I tried to find pretty snowflakes like Frugal Canadian Hermit Mark's... but didn't see any.

A total stranger came by and cleared my driveway... That saved me so much work!! :)

I was really glad he didn't come by while I was making my snow angels. lol

I gathered my snowballs for the 4th of July.....

even made a batch of snow ice cream......

Some know of my attraction to the moon. lol
It was beautiful, the snow was glowing in the moonlight.....

"It was a beautiful day

Don't let it get away

Beautiful day

Touch me

Take me to that other place

Reach me

I know I'm not a hopeless case

What you don't have you don't need it now

What you don't know you can feel it somehow

What you don't have you don't need it now

Don't need it now

Was a beautiful day"

Yes it was a beautiful moon last night. I love looking at snow pictures or out the window at snow from a warm room. Just not a big fan of the cold weather... I love the snowballs for July... you are so much fun!

What a wonderful post! Beautiful pictures of the frost on the trees. I always love the way trees look right after the snow falls. For the past couple of nights, the moon has been as bright as could be. Last night I walked around in the negative wind chills, it was practically like daylight the moon was so bright! I wish I could have captured it on film - every tree cast a shadow on the snow, it was really beautiful!

It was a beautiful day and your pictures are great - I like your beer cooler, just the way my parents did it in my youth.

Rocco, I got about a foot not counting the drifts. :)

lol Ron, Thanks! :)

TJ, next time it snows...try going outside and making a snow angel or two. There's something about laying on your back, looking at the beautiful blue sky while flapping your arms and legs... lol... It definately brings out the "kid" in you. :)
I am all set for the 4th.... Even though I throw like a girl, at least I'll be armed. lol

Sara, hasn't the moon been beautiful!! I love it. :)

Thank you Big Dude! The snow came in handy yesterday. :)

Everybody get out of the way when it snows at Jeanies house, because she's usually a pretty busy girl harvesting and getting use out of it. lol. Jeanie, I think you would like Canada. I don't know, I think the conditions have to be really good to get real nice snow flakes. I don't notice them all the time, but then I hav'nt really looked for them before either.

LOL Mark! I do like to make the most of a situation. hahaha....
I should have asked the guy that cleaned my driveway to pile it up for me, so I could have a ski jump.
I bet you have all sorts of fun in Canada. :)
I tried to find snowflakes like yours. The stuff I had on my windows looked more like frost than actual flakes.
I'll keep looking though. :)

You packed so much snow fun into your beautiful day! We had 8 in. here in TN which is lots for us. I totally forgot to do a snow angel, darn. It's to late now because there's ice on top, oh well, I'll enjoy yours. How nice to have a neighborly neighbor to clear your driveway.
Favorite pictures are of the ice trees. And yes, I'd have been disappointed if there wasn't a moon picture in there somewhere.

lol Mrs JP, I wish you could have made an angel! The tricky part is making one without the help of the dogs. lol
:) I still love that moon.

Sounds like you got a good blanket of snow too, hope you all are keeping warm!

Beautiful pictures! We haven't had that much snow in YEARS!!

Do they have your heat back on yet?

Spectacular photos, that second one is amazing.

The fact that you called THAT particular U2 song "old" made me feel old because to me that is one of their "new" ones.

I saw them in Florida during the Unforgettable Fire tour in the '80s.

Hi Becky, good to see you!
No heat yet but they have been working on the well this week. :)
Thanks Becky!

lol Chris..you're not old!
I checked to see when this song came out and I think it was 10 years ago... time really flies...

Bet the concert was great!! :)

well the pics were great, the story too, but what I enjoyed most was the Snow Cream. My Grandmother always made it for us with lots of vanilla flavoring. Thanks for making me rememeber.

Chet, thanks! I'm glad the snow icecream brought back fond memories for you. :)
I grew up with it too and try to make at least one batch every winter.
Hope you make a batch sometime. :)

Wow Jeanie...These pics are beautifull!! I've only ever seen snow that was muddy and slushy. Nothing you'd want to make ice cream out of I assure you. You may have to endure some hardships out there, but what a wonderfull trade off to get to see such things! Lucky Girl...

You're missing out on the ice cream, it's tasty. :)
Thanks Dave....
