My New Smoking Pal

Not long ago I met a very kind gentleman that happens to be a very talented smoker too. After visiting a bit he mentioned that he could get some guitar strings for me.
I can always use guitar strings..... soooo, I said I'd be interested if he could get a good deal on a set for me.

He said something like ..no problem, I own the place.

I didn't know it at the time but my new talented smoking friend is Sterling Ball, son of Ernie Ball. If you've ever played guitar, you know the names.
I grew up with Ernie Ball products, they are reliable and have definately stood the test of time.

Sterling said he would send some strings to me, and recommended I try the new coated strings.

A few days later I received this huge box full of goodies! A case of coated strings, several packs of silk and steel strings, a power peg winder, string cleaner, guitar cleaner, a guitar cloth, a Battle of the Bands CD, SEVERAL wonderful t-shirts.......

I was, and still am floored.

If you get the chance, stop by and check out the Ernie Ball site... http://www.ernieball.com/

Also Sterling's Musicman Guitars... http://www.music-man.com/

I put a set of the new coated strings on my old Yamaha and it's never sounded so beautiful.

I know it's not my playing so it has to be the strings! lol

Also wanted to add, Sterling will be opening up a smoking forum soon for people like me who are addicted. :) I'll post the link when it's up and running.

Sterling, If you read this, THANK YOU again...... I'm still speechless.

Sterling, I can't thank you enough. I've spent the last week or so enjoying my guitar again.
I might not have time to cook anymore! lol

Let's us be philosophical about this. Aristotle said ... "All things in moderation." So I hope you continue to cook and share pics, but I also hope you continue to play and will share some audio with us.

Now that might be doable. lol
Thanks Marc!

Everybody who wants to sit around a campfire sipping a cold one after a fire grilled meal and listen to J playing guitar, raise their hand!

lol Chris that sounds good... but I don't want to sing, play or even hear one note of Kumbaya! lol

Thanks Chris. :)
