This is a recipe shared by a friend named Smoken Yankee.
Since I still have no gas to cook with.... I cooked the shrimp over a small wood fire.
Smoken Yankee's recipe...
4TBLS. oil
3TBLS butter
1TBLS minced garlic
20-40 pelled med/lg shrimp
1/2tps crushed red pepper
1tps oregano
1/2tsp salt
2TBLS flour
1/2 cup white wine
3/4 cup chicken broth
and 1tsp lemon juice
I combined my wine, chicken broth and lemon juice in one container so it would be easier to carry outside. lol
The flour, red pepper, oregano and salt....
I sauteed my minced garlic in the oil and butter...
Added the shrimp, red pepper, oregano and salt...

Jean,
That looks soooo good, but I'am not surprised at all, now!You are such a talented Lady.
So you have given me my dinner Idea for tonight, thank you. I think I will add some sausage to it, only cause I had taken them out of the refer this morning.
I sure hope you're staying warm.....
Ken
Thank you so much Ken!
I like your idea of adding sausage. I'm sure it will be tasty. :)
I'm keeping warm, thank you. Last word is my gas will be back on Sunday.
Hope you have a great weekend!
If that gas isn't back Sunday run out and get ya a little Coleman camp stove and a few of those small bottles of gas. But, tell them its been too long and you want to cook. What ya do is, let them think there is a meal in it and let them see some of the pics. You'll get your gas back real quick.
lol David!
Good idea! :)
That looks so good just needs a little Moose in it lolol
Ps it is getting warmer out now it +1
Dave
lol Dave, I'd like to try moose steaks sometime!
+1 degree out? Brrrrrrr!
Thanks Dave. :)
Love your blogsite. This is my first time here, but forsure not the last. Kinda educational. How much for a jar of that "prickly pear cactus jelly" can you send one up to Canada?
Mark
Hi Mark,
Nice to meet you. :)
I hadn't thought about mailing jelly but if you contact me we might be able to work something out.
Like the looks of your blog too.
Thanks! :)
