A Coupla Flakes

Not sure if I'm talking about the snow flakes or me and the dog... :)

A few snow flakes fell the other day... nice big ones!

The pup tried licking them off ....

and shaking them off....

then she gave up...

The flakes were coming straight down, which is rare around here....

They were just right for catching on my tongue. :)

Where's the picture of you catching one on your tongue? :)

Capt Ron, it didn't cross my mind at the time to take one. For every flake I caught on my tongue, I caught 5 in the eye. lol
It was a lot of fun though. :)
I'll be sure to send some cold weather down your way! :)

We had a few more flakes to add to the collection today also. If you want some more, I know where there is lots. Just let me know Jeanie.

I love the big goose feather sized snow flakes.

lol Mark, you can keep them for now. I do need enough for at least one snow angel and a few snowballs before winter ends though.
Hope all is going well at your place. It's looking great!

Me too Larry, they are so pretty! :) This snow didn't last long but I enjoyed it.

Time to snuggle up to a bowl of homemade stew/chili after the days chores are done. Pups are a lot of fun, she is growing, must be the leftovers. :))

If you want to see a few more flakes, white fluffy ones or the two legged variety, come up here for a visit...the offer still stands!

Rick the stew sounds good. I need to use up some of this venison!
She is growing fast... so far she's been a lot of fun. :)

Up here in Iowa, I like snow on the ground before deer hunting season. Makes them easier to see coming toward me from a distance through the brush. Dang, wish my neighbor would clear some brush off his property as I hunt in a corner draw where three property lines meet. Never had to shoot one on the neighbor's property but did have to retrieve a doe 20 feet into the neighbor's brush on Saturday.

Hey is that a Border Collie? We had them for years and always ran 2 or 3 as cow dogs. WOnderful dogs, especially around Christmas.

I agree Anonymous, sure makes it easier to spot the deer with a blanket of snow on the ground.
Congratulations on getting that doe! They are good eatin'...Way to go! :)

wow I read the whole thing from the begining!!!! very nice indeed. that is some face! i see you make wine so i thought you might like this skeeterpee.com it is a great hot weather drink but watch out it sneeks up on you. if you have any questions they will probably be answered on homebrewtalk.com in the wine topic under the thread skeeter pee. watch out your friends will make it go away very quickly. now i have to see if the ducks haven t eaten all the mussels like they did last year. smoked mussels are the best. sam
