A pretty cloud....

I got caught in a good storm while driving home from a friend's place this weekend. It was a nice BIG storm, one of those toad stranglers...complete with news crews and storm chasers. (they should live here :)) lol
As I drove along, wondering if I'd have to abandon my pickup to share a culvert with rattlesnakes... I saw the light at the end of the dark, dark cloud.

It was sooooo pretty! If you click on the photo's to enlarge, they show more detail.

I snapped pictures as I drove.
I could see the edge of the cloud ahead and the sun was getting ready to peek out from below...

The humongous cloud was so thick!

When the sun finally peeked out from below the monster cloud, I pulled into the first place I could find to turn around and watch the rainbow. :)

It was much prettier in person.... and it was huge! lol

I know, I know.... I am easily impressed. lol

Thanks Becky! It was so pretty in person. :) Wish I had a better camera... maybe someday!
I did think they came out nice for hanging my head out the window and shooting while driving. lol
(I know I shouldn't do that)

Oh, silver linings and rainbows! Two of my favorite things. So glad you were safe and able to enjoy the sky wonders.

Thank you Mrs JP! It was kind of exciting during part of the drive... I made mental notes of each culvert and bridge. lol
The cloud and rainbow made it all worth it. :)

Decisions, decisions. Culvert with rattlers? or the storm. There's just got to be more options Jeanie. I take it you have survived the storm though, which is real good. We have had the odd tornado around here over the years, but they are not nearly as common as what you guys get in the summer.

lol Mark I survived. :) There were a few small bridges along the way too. I think I probably would have headed for one of those.
Glad to hear you don't have to put up with these tornados often.
Thanks Mark...
Your place is looking great! :)
