A pretty red Skybolt comes your way...a pretty Okie Cowgirl BEST come my way!! A local city airport just happens to be in my backyard!!
Sorry it has been soooo long Cowchicky! Think of you often
SAP!!!!
The beauty of the canopy is that you you pull negative g-forces anything lost on the floor won't go flying off into the blue void!
Hey Sap! How are you and the little saplettes doing? :)
Congratulations on your new little one!
If I get that Skybolt, I'll definately fly up there.. I still want to see Niagra Falls too. lol
Good to see ya...
Great selling point Anonymous! :)
As much as I love the feel of the wind blowing through my hair, losing my possessions into the wild blue void would be disheartening. lol
Thanks Anonymous! :)
I think the little Skybolt would be so much fun.....
We have a 5000' runway here and free shuttle service to and from the airport.....:)
Rick
lol Sounds great Rick! I think if you have a little stretch of dirt road in front of your house, I could use that.
(if it doesn't have too many doglegs. :))
As a fellow Okie, outdoor master chef, and a beer enthusiast... I can't help but wonder if you have brewed your own beer... Check out Cherokee Strip Brewery on facebook. Would love to see your take on some Okie Brew.
Hi Kyle,
I have brewed beer in the past, but just using kits. I would love to get back into it though.
I'll check out the facebook site. Thanks..
also Thanks for stopping by! :)
I recently completed a restoration on a Skybolt and I have to admit she’s a hoot to fly! I’ve owned a couple of Pitts in the past and my Stearman also shares the hangar, but the Skybolt is my current favorite. She rolls tight and fast, climbs well into vertical maneuvers and stays light and nimble on the controls. The past week here in PA has been picture perfect and made for carving up the sky. I’ve been flying her to work every day and the trip to and from tends to be level only during takeoff and landing! So I say if you can get that Skybolt – you won’t regret it.
lol You've got to be kidding me Anonymous.. you've just named three of my favorites... I've dreamed of flying a Pitts... and Stearman... also wish I had a Baby Great Lakes. :)
Your description of flying the Skybolt is everything I had hoped it would be.... You have no idea how much I envy you right now. lol :)
I spent two weeks at "Stearman Field" in Kansas last year. I was in heaven...
I could listen to the rumble of a Stearman's engine all day....
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog. Your post has made my day... :)
I almost forgot...Congratulations on the restoration of your Skybolt! I know that is no small feat.. Bet she is beautiful.... :)
