not being sure how severe the storm would be, I stopped by my favorite lilac bush to pick a few.... I've watched hail and wind strip the lilac bush bare in the past..
they smell soooo good! :)
the rain arrived....
with some small hail...
think I will kick my shoes off and splash in the puddle. :)

Love thunderstorms. Grew up in Alaska where we don't have any (to speak of) and now that I'm living in TX, I get to enjoy them. We were supposed to have one tonight, but it seems to have passed us by. I'll just live vicariously through your photos. ;) Love lilacs, too - this post made my evening. Thank you.
Steph
PS - I'm a puddle jumper, as well.
Not over yest girl, don't let the rainbow fool ya. they say Friday and Saturday could still be interesting days before its over.
Nice pictures Jeanie. That last one should have a frame around it and hanging on the wall or something. I need to see some proof that you were splashing around in that puddle. lol.
i love the Lilacs too, but it looks like it was a good night for worm picking also!
Thank you Stephanie!
Aren't the thunderstorms fun to watch.. (as long as there's no damage :) )
The puddle jumping was fun too! lol
Thanks for stopping by!
David, I think you're right.. it's just the beginning. :)
Hope you keep safe!
lol Mark, I put my camera away, kicked off my shoes and had a blast. The water was a bit cold but it was worth it.
You need to give it a try... :)
Thanks Mark!
Hey Rocco, I didn't know if anyone would be familiar with worm picking. lol It was a good night for that! :)
Lilacs are my favorite, I just wish they would bloom longer.
Thanks Rocco!
That's one thing that's nice about the flat lands..you can see what's coming. Here in the hills, you don't know if a tornado is coming until you hear the train that doesn't have a track coming over the hill.
I love rainbows! God makes such pretty things.
I agree Mrs JP! I l'd rather be able to see em commin'. :)
It was a nice little storm and the air smelled so fresh after it passed...
Thanks Mrs JP!
I was up half the night worrying about the storm. New truck and a newly planted garden gives me plenty to freak out about. I see that as always, you take it all in stride. You probably are my hero!!
Shoot! I hope the storm didn't cause any damage Charles! I would be worried too if I had a new truck.
Mother nature is amazing but she can really wreak havoc at times. :)
If the storm had turned bad, I planned on grabbing my lilacs and heading to the basement to wait it out. lol
Thanks Charles! :)
J-gurl, you never cease to amaze me. Even though I say to myself "I can do that", the part that I can not do is to come up with these ideas. Your creativity is amazing. I'm in love! Ha!
However, seeing YOUR ideas helps me to think outside my box, and become a little more creative on my own.
(I expect an invite for the July shindig! I will bring my smoker.)
