Cute pig, dirty snout =). Love your blog, just amazing!
No.....
But I think I just did. LOL
No luck bow hunting but I did sell a duplicate of my smoke shack. I rigged this one with an interior electrical outlet for a burner and a light complete with switch. Shingled roof too!!
Funny! My mom had a pet pig named Pookie when she was growing up on the farm and yes, they did eat Pookie at the end of the year.
I just don't know if I could slaughter it once I named it, unless I named it something like Bacon, Fatty, or Spare Rib :)
Looks like he's afraid of becoming breakfast, lunch and dinner!! :)
Gene
Yum - BBQ on the hoof - unless it's a pet of course.
well, I don't get to (have to) look my meat in it;s eyes... But I certainly deserve to get "the look"
It's Babe!! Or is it Charlotte? Nope...it's dinner :)
MrD
Thank you Shandy! Thanks for stopping by too! :)
Shoot Bushman, that's great! Bet you could sell several of your smokers, they sound nice...good luck to ya! :)
lol Chris, I like the name Pookie! :)
If I name mine, it's usually Ham, Bacon, etc.. I did have an Ivana once.. lol She ended up in the freezer. :)
Gene, I think he knows I'm up to something!!!
Dude, this one is food.
It's hard for some to accept...but this is where their bacon/hams come from.
I'm sure you already knew that! :)
Nice try Piggy, now jump yourself into that smoker. lol. I don't know about you Jeanie, but I would have hard time doin that one up actually, but thats just me.
lol David!
lol Mr D! You're right! :)
Mark, it IS hard. I've shed more than one tear over my livestock.
Don't tell anyone, but sometimes raising your own food isn't easy. :)
I don't know. I've looked at pigs, I'm sure they've looked at me! We had a vicious mama hog one time, she could give you a look and pop those jaws and you knew she meant business. In fact, she had my sister-in-law clinging from the rafters of the hog house one time. Funny story.
lol Mrs JP! I can just picture that! lol
Those mama sows can get pretty mean and whoda thunk they could run so fast! lol
Keeps me on my toes. :)
