One of my friends....

The smell of fall is in the air.....

Have you ever gotten "the look" from a pig? :)

No.....
But I think I just did. LOL
No luck bow hunting but I did sell a duplicate of my smoke shack. I rigged this one with an interior electrical outlet for a burner and a light complete with switch. Shingled roof too!!

Funny! My mom had a pet pig named Pookie when she was growing up on the farm and yes, they did eat Pookie at the end of the year.

I just don't know if I could slaughter it once I named it, unless I named it something like Bacon, Fatty, or Spare Rib :)

Yum - BBQ on the hoof - unless it's a pet of course.

It's hard for some to accept...but this is where their bacon/hams come from.

Mark, it IS hard. I've shed more than one tear over my livestock.

Don't tell anyone, but sometimes raising your own food isn't easy. :)

I don't know. I've looked at pigs, I'm sure they've looked at me! We had a vicious mama hog one time, she could give you a look and pop those jaws and you knew she meant business. In fact, she had my sister-in-law clinging from the rafters of the hog house one time. Funny story.

lol Mrs JP! I can just picture that! lol
Those mama sows can get pretty mean and whoda thunk they could run so fast! lol
Keeps me on my toes. :)
