Tractor Rim Steak n Crab Legs

Definitely one of my favorite meals whether I'm at home or camping!
I was able to sneak off for a fishing trip this summer. Took a few crab legs and ribeyes with me.
You know the old saying, if you take hot dogs you gotta eat hot dogs... steak and crab sounded a lot better to me!

Lit a few logs in the tractor rim...

Started my fried tatoes n onions first, then a skillet of mushrooms, onions and garlic in butter..

made garlic butter and kept it on low heat...

Next the ribeyes, asparagus and last the crab legs...

It was a fairly thin ribeye but tasted fine...

My favorite was the crab dipped in garlic butter...

Caught several catfish this trip and had a nice time. I didn't get to go camping as much as usual this year... too much going on with the wild fires and ice storm early in the year.
Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving! Thanks for stopping by!

Jeannie,
Super post, as always.
Of course, pretending that 2 people can finish that amount of food in one meal is a bit much. I mean, I was born at night, but not LAST night!
That forkful of garlic butter crab looks good enough to start an outlaw gang for. Hmmm, that grammar may be a bit questionable...
Anyway, thanks for sharing.

Be well,
Joe

Ahhhh, posting camp food pics, especially cooked outdoors, after the season is over really makes me drool. Looking forward to next year!

Just so you don't think that you're being ignored,
this is my second attempt to comment on your post.
The webpage indicated that the comment had been saved, and was waiting for moeration, but that was a couple of days ago.
That's happened a couple of times in the past.
I wonder if others have had that problem.

Anyway, that looks really good, especially that crab/butter pic.

Take care,
Joe

lol Thanks Joe! A lot more than 2 people that day. I plan on half a steak for me and never seem to eat it once I start on crab legs. I love em!
Hope all is well with you, thanks for stopping by!

Thanks so much Errol Judy!
I'm still having photobucket problems...not sure what to do about it.
I'm going to try posting more and see how it works out.
Good to see you!!

Joe, thank you!! I'm not receiving all of my messages from the blog. I don't know what's up with that. Usually I get an email if someone leaves a message but they aren't coming through.
Between that, photobucket and blogger issues, I'm swimming upstream against a strong current. lol
It would help if I knew more about computers. I'm better outside. lol
Thanks!!

Lord but I loved the look of that! Camp cooking here tends to leave a bit for granted: anything besides sausages, chops and steak (and possibly potatoes) is usually deemed to be too sophisticated.
Keep posting if you can: I'm looking at an extended spell of city life and I need country blogs like there's no tomorrow.

Thanks so much Stephen! I appreciate you stopping by.
I found out a long time ago that if I take hotdogs camping, I have to eat hotdogs. Now I plan what I want to eat and just pack those ingredients. I eat better while camping than at home. lol There's something about a campfire...everything tastes so good!:)
Hope you are able to escape city life every so often and enjoy the quiet out here in the country. Thanks again!
