Gettin' Dirty and Playing in the Mud

Some days it's hard to find the time to cook. Seems like this was one of those weeks. :)
The dirt storms have been strong... not pleasant weather to be outdoors. In fact it was hard keeping the fine dirt from seeping into the house too.

Finding a large mud hole in the horse pasture behind the house was actually a good thing....

After digging down to the busted pipe, baling water out of the hole and inserting a new section of pvc.... I was really happy that that's all it was.
I had already called the well man thinking he would have to pull the farm well. This was a less expensive fix. :)

Now if I could figure out why the pickup won't turn off without removing the battery cables ...
I can do some cookin'. :)

Fine dust inside the house reminds me of our years living in the deserts of Arizona, always feeling that fine grit.

Of course, the mud hole just made me wish I was a kid again, mud holes were great finds on a hot summer day!

I didn't realize that there were dust storms going on.
Hope things get better this weekend, and really glad you didn't have to mess with your well!

Your starter switch is probably bad. Not real hard to replace just a pain cause you need to have a new key made. I had this same problem with the old 4x4 scotsdale years ago.

Hey Joe, you know what I mean about that fine grit! :)

Hope you still enjoy mud holes. :)
I like to kick off my shoes and jump in once in awhile.
Hope you have a great weekend Joe, Thanks! :)

Hi Linda, Thanks!
I think it's been windy all over the US lately..the danged dust almost blacks out the sun at times here.
Thanks about the well too... it was good news when I found the leak. lol
Hope you have a great weekend too!

Jeanie, you would be a handy girl to have around up north here while I'm building my house. Think I can rent ya for awhile? I would have to say it is your ignition switch on the truck, but I could be wrong. Just my first guess. The switch does not involve removing the key entry thing a ma jig, it is just a switch that plugs in under the steering column and into the key area. Im assuming that it is your chevy that is about 2003 model.

Praise God for those inexpensive fixes. I'm sorry but I am laughing at your truck...that could get expensive with gas prices and all.

Hey Mark, thanks! You can definately rent me for awhile... I'm in need of a road trip. lol :)
Thanks for the info on the switch, I appreciate it Mark. Yep it's that same truck! :)
I should trade it in for something new before it falls apart. I guess I'm getting all the use out of it that I can.
Hope you are doing well! Keep warm up there. Thanks Mark.. :)
