Backwoodsok.com

I wanted to mention that smoking friend Tim in Tulsa is offering a fine selection of Backwoods smokers on his site Backwoodsok.com .
I've not tried one of these but hear that they put out some great food.
Tim carries small backyard units, huge whole hog cookers and everything in between!
If you are interested.. shoot Tim an e-mail or give him a call. I'm sure he would be happy to answer any questions about the Backwoods. :)

Hey your the second person that i've seen that can filet like that. Can you explain how you cut something thats round and make it flat. like making a pork loin flat... thanks.

Hi Anonymous!
Not sure I can explain it but I'll try..
Depending on how large the cut of meat is, I decide how thick I want the final slab of meat.
Then cut down the right side (easier for me) 1" or how ever thick I want it to be.. I do not cut all the way through to the bottom of the roll (the counter top)..stop 1" from the bottom,
Then I turn my blade on it's side and cut to the left.. and sort of "unroll" the meat as I go. Making sure I don't cut through all of the way.. stop at 1" again.
lol
This has to be confusing!! lol Sorry..I'm terrible at explaining things! I'll make a post with pictures soon. :)

I thought about getting a Chubby before we got our second Egg. Great units.

They do look pretty good Chris. I've not smoked on an egg but they look like great units too. I know the food you put out on yours looks killer! :)
Thanks Chris...
