Smoked Spam for Oneeye :)

I only like spam when it's smoked.
Oneeye, (if you see this), here is what I was talking about. I score the cube of spam, place it in the smoker and let it go til the thing "blooms" like an onion. Then sprinkle with a mixture of brown sugar and cayenne. Then spritz the whole thing with whiskey to sort of make a glaze. I let it go for a few more minutes til the glaze looks good.

I love Spam. Kim's okay with it. My Boyz thumb their noses at it.

Fortunately, with my HDL cholesterol topping my doctor's chart at 153, he all but gave me permission to enjoy it at will.

Wow Tom, that's good news from your doctor. Congratulations! Most of the time it's the other way around.
Spam is kind of a mystery to me. I'm sure I don't want to know what's in it. :)

lol Oneeye, I do the same with sliced bologna...fry it til crisp. :D
The cayenne, brown sugar, whiskey mix makes spam a bit better. Kind of like glaze on a ham. Let me know if you ever give it a try, please. :)
