Biscuits and Gravy

Another camp breakfast.
This was on the last day of my camp out. I had already packed the tractor tire rim so I cooked breakfast on this little charcoal cooker.
I butter a couple of foil pie pans, place the biscuits in one and top them with the second pan, then wrap the whole thing in foil to hold them together.

For the gravy, I brown some sausage in the skillet. ( I like spicy sausage )...

I let those hang out over the coals, flipping and turning the biscuits every so often for even cooking.

add flour, seasonings and milk to the skillet gravy and cook til smooth and bubbly...

Since the cooker was too small to hold everything, I removed the gravy and fried some hash browns...

and scrambled eggs...

gave the gravy a quick reheat...

The biscuits turned out pretty good. At least I didn't burn them. :)

The biscuits and sausage gravy, hash browns, strawberries ( to make it look healthy :)), and scrambled eggs..

It was a nice ending to the few days of camping.  I really can't wait til next summer. Maybe I can make a few short runs to the lake on mild weather days this winter.

It's one of my favorites too, especially when feeding a crowd. Seems like a little goes a long way. :)
Thanks Mrs JP!
