Sittin' by the lake

I was able to get away for the last few days and spend some time camping... took my favorite little rocker and my fancy side table. :)

I caught a few fish and a few lightning bugs. :)

The evenings were relaxing, I enjoyed the campfire and the stars.

It is nice to be home though. I see more people at the lake than I do for a month on the ranch. :)

Hey Jeanie, the first picture shows that you are definately "off your rocker". lol. Sorry for that, could'nt resist, and I really don't mean it in the mental sense. But what I am really wondering, is what's in the lake in the rocker picture? Would that be geese? You're making me kinda jeleous with all this camping stuff you're up to you know.

We go the the lake once a year for a week and we just love it. I cook on the fire every night and never use the cabin stove the whole time. Your place looks nice and peaceful!

lol Mark...you're right! I feel like I'm off my rocker half the time. lol
Yes those are geese... the lake was full of them this time. I think they live there year round. They swam by going south every morning then back north in the evening. The little "quackers" had really grown since my last trip there. They were cute. :)

I think your area would be a lot prettier and quiet for camping Mark. Guess you would have to watch out for bears though!
Hope all is going well at your place, I need to stop by your blog and check up on ya. :)
Hope you are having a great weekend!

Lisa that sounds great! Food cooked over a fire seems to taste sooo good. :)

I bet your cabin is nice... hope you take pics when you go this year.
Thanks Lisa! :)

Sounds like your geese have the right idea, but they just might have a lazy streak in them, cuz I thought they migrated all the way up here usually. lol. I'm just suprised you did'nt have your shotgun with ya. You could have had goose for supper, AND alot of the people would leave and you would have the whole place to yourself. That is until the cops arrived, I guess.

lol Mark you must have been reading my mind. There was quite a bit of discussion on how I was going to shoot a goose and get it out of the water without anyone noticing.
Had a few people stop by to see what I was cooking on the fire, not sure if I could have passed the goose off as a turkey. lol

If I catch one of these geese, I'll tie a message to it's foot for ya. Just in case they do fly up your way. :)
Thanks Mark..
