It was soooo close..... I could smell it

It hovered in the distance...

The rain cloud...

About 20 drops fell from the sky...
I caught a few on my tongue... they tasted so good!
The few that landed on my upturned face felt cold. :)

Then it moved on...
leaving me high and dry and wanting more. lol

I was tempted to jump into the pickup and drive the few miles until I reached rain...the smell was so intoxicating. :)

The first rainbow picture seems to have a double rainbow!

great rainbow shots. I'm amazed at how brown things are compared to here.

We had a double rainbow our last rain too. I think it's so neat when that happens.

Happy Easter to you all! :)

Hi Kathy! Yes it was a double rainbow. I wish I had a camera that could take a panoramic shot. :)

Thanks Larry! I really need the rain, it's so dry here. The grass sounds like shredded wheat when you walk across the yard or pasture.

Me too Linda! I bet yours was pretty. Hope you got a bunch of rain out of the deal too. :)

Thanks and Happy Easter to you too!

Thanks Rocco, I wish you could send it this way too. :)
There have been a few grass fires here but only one serious one. It makes me nervous when it's so dry.
Hope you have a great Easter!

Darn, missed all but 20 drops of the rain! You did a great job of photographing the double rainbow. Let's pray that rain comes right on top of your place!

It is cloudy here with a possible chance of showers this weekend. UGH!
I keep trying to send the storms your way BUT....Mother Nature just doen't listen to me. I sure would like to uncover all of the "cookers" for the summer...
Don't shoot the bunny......lol

You know, there's a lot of folks around here who would wonder about your sanity for saying you "smelled" the rain. I've been in the big city too long. People have looked at me like I was nuts for saying that. Sometimes I've taken them outside and just had them stand and take a deep wiff. Some get it, some don't. Sad.

We finally got some moisture in Tulsa Friday night. We've had the wind, the clouds, thunder & lightning, but no real rain until last night. Hopefully they'll lift the burn ban and I can fire up the drums.

Thank you Mrs JP! A nice cloud burst would work wonders around here. :)
Hope you have a nice Easter!

Creaky that is sad. They are missing out. I love the smell, wish I could bottle it. :)
Glad to hear you got a bit of rain! Hope things green up so they lift your burn ban.
Thanks! Have a great Easter. :)
