T Day Food

As much as I love food.... it's hard for me to look at these pictures. I think I'm still too full to eat. lol

We started the day with biscuits with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and hashbrowns. It's an easy breakfast for a crowd...

Then for the big meal last night...

smooshed tatoes and broccoli rice... (re-runs from last year:))

other "stuff"...

eggs and pies...

dressing.....

more "stuff".....

smoked turkey......

I cheated and used paper plates. :)

I couldn't eat all of mine but I ate my piece of pie for breakfast this morning. :)

It was a good day! I'm not cooking again until tomorrow, we are going to have leftovers for supper tonight!

Damn girl, that looks good, but of course my favorite is the breakfast. I'm sure there's something I like better than biscuits and sausage gravy, but I'd have to think long and hard to come up with it.

Happy Thanksgiving! Thank you for sharing pics of your bountiful spread. The smoked turkey looks great, I'm going to smoke one next weekend when all the kids schedules coincide.

Another set of yummy meals, Jeannie. Your pots always leave me hungry, so I can't go to your website everyday, lol.

I like biscuits and gravy, but they are hard to get up here in Canada and I have to admit, I have yet to find a biscuit recipe to match the ones that I have had when I am in the US. Any recommendations for a good biscuit recipe?

Looks like I really missed out being way up here in Canada. Looks good Jeanie. Glad to see the deer hunt is going well also.

Hey Buddy, Thanks! Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving too. Don't let the sharks get ya. lol :)

Thank you John! I'm glad you stop by my blog even though you can't do it every day. lol :)
I don't really have a favorite biscuit recipe but seem to make baking powder or buttermilk biscuits the most. They are both easy and quick to make. The baking powder biscuits are quickest to make but I do like the flavor of the buttermilk biscuits best.
Not much help am I? lol
If you find a great recipe, I'd be interested John... Thanks!!
:)
Hope you are keeping warm up there too... no snow here yet but I'm sure it won't be long before the ground is covered. :)

Mark, you missed out again! :)
The hunt is going great... it's a nice feeling to have meat for the winter.
Hope you are keeping warm too... whether you have snow or not. lol
Thanks Mark!

Dave I can't believe it's almost here again! I love turkey and never think to make it during the rest of the year. :)
Thanks about the plates... it was deer season and I was too tired to wash dishes.
The weather has cooled some now, it's still in the 90s at times but sure beats what it has been. Still no rain but I hear we have a chance this next weekend.
Thanks Dave!!

Woo Hoo! Only about 17 more days to go Jeanie!! I'll have to take some pics of our dinner this year and share them with you as well. You know, if you're not carefull their going to start blaming the countrys obesity crisis on this one blog alone! lol I think I gain a pound or two every time I read it.
