Nice garden. We've had a lot of grasshoppers but Ewww...I hate the horn worm.

Do you cut them up first, or bite in like an apple? I find the salt just bounces off the skin, so I prefer to cut them up first.

Me too Mrs JP! They are icky. :)
Seems like the grasshoppers have been extra thick this year. My hens are happy but can't keep up with all of them.

Thanks Mrs JP! :)

Drew, I have a ritual for eating them. lol
I wash the tomato, then lick a spot to make the salt stick. lol
Then take the first bite and re-salt it. I just eat it like an apple and sprinkle salt on every bite. :)
I love them fresh out of the garden...

You eat those tomatoes like I do! Yes, must lick so the salt will stick!

I like to clip my hornworms in half with my garden shears... just sayin'... gives me a sense of vengence for them eating my plants! Give it a try!!!

Nothing quite like the pleasure of harvesting your own fresh produce.

Fantastic! Well done, I find things always taste more satisfying if you've grown them youself!

Nice looking garden. There's nothing better than fresh picked tomatoes and salt.

That's the way I feel too Larry, it tastes so good! Last night I had garden veggies along with some fish I caught on that last camp out... it was a tasty meal. :)
Thanks Larry!

Thank you Jimmy! I enjoyed the pictures of your girls and the potatoes.
Looks like you are getting some nice home grown veggies this year too.
Thanks Jimmy! :)

Thank you YD! I agree with you, those fresh tomatoes are hard to beat. I need to build a greenhouse or figure a way to raise them year round. :)
Thanks YD!

Nice! You're a few weeks ahead of us Northerners. Can't wait to be eating warm tomato off the vine. Brings me back to childhood, barefoot in dust, tomato juice running down my chin, Mom wondering where the salt shaker went... :)

lol Dave, that sounds just like me!
They are soooo tasty, I think I could live on them.
Hope yours ripen soon!
Thanks Dave. :)
