Just another day in the country...

It's still a bit chilly here.
I need to keep a close eye on the livestock feed and water situation.

Here's my windmill and pond....
Now that everyone knows where it is, I'll have to relocate my shrimp herd this summer. :)

Some of the young heifers....

Brrrr........

One of those times when my "thinning of the hen herd" canned chicken and broth comes in handy. :)

With a fried biscuit, it's filling..... and warms me to my toes. :)

Looks good to me, I bet it did warm ya to your toes. I came in just over an hour ago after being outside most of the day and my feet still hurt from being so cold.

The yearlings are looking good. Brisket developing real good on them.

Big JD tractor got stuck this morning in the snow here and the other one with the plow wouldn't start. We had to dig with shovels. No fun at 7 below. Cows finally got what they needed though.

Stay warm, and I doubt anybody will mess with your shrimp. If they do I am sure you'll mess with them. Or put them to work.

No, Jeanie, I said I'd like a couple of FROSTY BEERS not FROSTY Beef EARS.

It's pretty chilly down your way Jeanie. I sure hope that space heater is keeping up to your heating needs. Any word on when they're going to have you up and running with natural gas again? You might have to do a little stock prodding and get some action out of those guys.

Dang it Rocco, Happy Birthday!! I would have baked a cake or something if I had known!
Hope you had a wonderful day. :)

David, it sounds cold up your way. I'm glad I didn't get the snow that you folks received!
Be careful with that snow shovel... Maybe you could use a weed burner to melt a path. :)

lol Chris... frosty beer sounds pretty good to me. :)

Thanks Mark!
I'm doing alright. It's just a little inconvenient at times. They worked on the well a couple of days this week. No word on how long it will be.
I will feel spoiled when I get heat, hot water and my cooking stove back. lol

Hope you are keeping warm too. I know it's a lot colder up your way than here.
Keep safe Mark!

Windmill looks lonely,
Cattle look cold,
Chicken and biscuit looks wonderful.

Toe warmer? Can I apply for the job?
