Campfire Eggs Benedict

I camped at a small lake this weekend. There are no campsites here so I brought my tractor rim fire ring. The temperature dipped into the 30's the first night, so I was very happy to have my little ring.

I started with the fried potatoes and onions....

Then made hollandaise sauce in my little dutch oven....

I grilled some sliced ham and started my eggs....

I toasted my english muffins.........

Breakfast was pretty tasty. :)

Your food, like your photos, is always tantalizing. Sometimes even teasing. If I could figure out a blog thing like this, I'd post some of my country life pictures too. Great work!

lol.. Thank you Mark! :)
I have no idea what a blog is supposed to look like. I started using it as a place to keep my pictures and recipes together. It's really grown. Now it seems like I'm posting more and more about my life... (I know, boring) lol

Would love to see your country life pictures too. If you start a blog, please let me know. :)

Everyone does this type of breakfast different. I learned from my mom how to make this. She always starts out with sauteing onions with some butter. then she adds maybe 4 oz's of cream of shroom soup. Then adds enough milk to make it chowder soup thickness. Poaches the eggs in that. She butters and puts honey on the toasted english muffins and a slice or two of fresh ham. then adds the egg and sauce ontop. She did it this way because her illness limits her to to much standing and walking so she needed a way to kill two birds with one stone. So she found a way to make the holindays sauce and poach at the same time

by the way, i have been on this site for hours now.
